Bristol Brass Consort playing at Blisland Church - Sat 8th Oct

There will be a concert by members of the Bristol Brass Consort in the church at 7.30pm on Saturday 8th October. The consort has a significant reputation and plays at Festivals and concerts as well as at more informal events, weddings and parties. They will be playing a wide variety of music entitled their "Circa Mundi" collection, featuring Gershwin's Love is here to stay, Jimmy Webb's Wichita Lineman, A Nightingale sang in Berkley Square by Maschwitz and Sherman, A Waltz from Shostakovich's Jazz suite as well as pieces by Vaughn Williams and others. The concert is free and there will be a retiring collection in aid of church funds - so please bring some nice large bank notes that you no longer want with you. The concert will last about 2 hours.
